Well, election day is almost here. And I need to say Thank You! During my campaign, I have met some wonderful people and learned a lot about Edina, and Edina Public Schools.
The weather man said that we may have some rain, and snow for election day (of course we will :)) so please, get to the polls early.
You will have the opportunity to vote for up to 4 candidates. Please, make Castro one of them. I will work hard to ensure that Edina's tradition of excellent schools continue and improve where possible.
I've included a link to the State's Poll Place Finder if you are unsure where to vote:

So, mark your calendars and get out and vote Castro on November 5!

Gayle Castro on Edina Parent Leadership Forum
This past Monday I was fortunate enough to participate in the Parent Leadership Candidate Forum for the Edina Public School's School Board.
It was a great opportunity to answer questions from the community. It truly excites me to be able to tell people why I am running. The answer is very simple.
I have two young children and will be utilizing Edina Public Schools for the next 11 years. I am vested here and I need to care. I feel very strongly that in caring about my children's education, I can care about your child as well.
As well, I have a strong business development and sales strategy background. The skills used to succeed in that arena will allow me to be a successful School Board Member.
And finally, I have the time necessary to commit to serving the school board.

As always, please feel free to email me with any question you may have.

You see, we have young children and will be utilizing Edina Public Schools for the next 11 years. I am deeply vested in the success of these schools. As a board member I will work to ensure that our schools continue to excel while always looking to the future so that generations to come can say, with pride, that they are graduates of Edina. What I bring to the table is tireless drive and dedication with a very strong background in Business Development and Sales Strategy. I enjoy being involved with my children’s education and have served as class parent for both of my children, as well as holding multiple positions on past PTO’s.I look forward to serving the Edina community and using my dedication and commitment to ensure that all of our children get the very best education that we can provide for generations to come.As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have. Until November 5, take care and be well!

Edina All Staff Kick-off Event Rocked!
Today I was invited to attend the Edina Public Schools All Staff Kick-off event at EPAC as a School Board Candidate. I have to say, WOW! The energy and excitement, not to mention the Edina Marching Band, were great.
To see the continued implementation of the Edina Public Schools Mission Statement; "All for All" is exciting. As a parent of two school aged children it warms my heart to see such a large group of professionals all dedicated to achieving this goal.
Thank you to Superintendent Ric Dressen, his staff, and current Board Members for including me.
